Methodology

Imprint measures specific gravity during the brewing process and throughout fermentation. Starting and finishing gravity measurements lead to a straightforward ABV calculation. We then calculate final beer ABV based upon relative volumes of adjuncts and additions. Testing was conducted by two independent laboratories, utilizing two different methods: gas chromatography and an Anton Paar Alcolyzer, which uses a near infrared spectrometer to quantify ethanol content in beer and cider.
